

Our
150-hour Basic Acupressure Program covers several types of Acupressure and Shiatsu. Students gain proficiency in using more than 75 acupressure points & 8 styles of bodywork. Upon completion, the student is eligible to practice acupressure/shiatsu in California, and depending upon city/county requirements, may legally charge for sessions.
The
250-hour Acupressure Practitioner Foundations Program allows students to meet both the hours (250) and subject area requirements necessary to apply for the California Massage Therapy Council's (CAMTC)
Voluntary Certification as a
Certified Massage Practitioner.


Our
250-hour Professional Specialization Programs enable students to enhance their skills and develop a specialty in private practice. Selecting classes from the full range of Acupressure Institute offerings, these programs provide both depth and breadth of knowledge. For depth, a student chooses a particular Specialization Area (Emotional Balancing, Women's Health, Traditional Asian Theory, Sports Applications, etc.) and takes classes related to that specialization.
Tapping into the specialized expertise of AI Faculty makes these programs an extraordinary way to leverage one’s time and effort into creating or evolving a professional practice.
Prerequisite: Students must complete our Basic 150-Hour Training or equivalent.

In our
500-hour Acupressure Therapist Program students can meet both the hours (500) and subject area requirements necessary to apply for the California Massage Therapy Council's (CAMTC)
Voluntary Certification as a
Certified Massage Therapist. Further, if a student chooses they may select recommended classes and thus be able to apply to become a Professional Member of the American Organization for the Bodywork Therapies of Asia (AOBTA),
and/or take the National Certification Exam in Asian Bodywork Therapy (ABT) offered by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
This program can help one achieve both professional status and the highest level of certification available efficiently and effectively.


The
850-hour Acupressure Therapy Program enables you to be proficient in
several areas of study including advanced acupressure, traditional Asian
modalities and related bodywork therapies. Based on your professional goals
and interests, you individualize your program by selecting from a variety of
bodywork and holistic therapy classes. This career training program also
prepares students who wish to become recognized professionals in the field
of acupressure prepare to take the National Asian Bodywork Exam.

Our
1000-hour Acupressure Mastery Program is designed for those devoted to being at the forefront of Asian Bodywork Therapy, and also prepares practitioners for where evolving state and national standards appear to be headed (1000 hours of education). We at the Acupressure Institute recognize that enrolling in and completing this program represents a sizable commitment of a students time, energy and finances. We strive to have this program be a leader in the field, along with being our most economical program on an hour for hour basis.
